Cameron Smith Head Coach

Cameron’s basketball journey began at the age of five, and he has played for an impressive 22 consecutive seasons. Throughout high school, he demonstrated natural leadership, serving as Year-Level Captain every year throughout high school and ultimately becoming the School Captain of Scoresby Secondary in Year 12.

Transitioning from player to mentor, Cameron spent four seasons as a coach, helping young athletes build their skills, confidence and leadership on and off the court. With a strong focus on teamwork and individual strengths, he guided two teams to undefeated seasons by instilling fundamental basketball principles - From defensive discipline to offensive confidence.

Beyond basketball, Cameron has a strong background in training and development. As a Site Training Lead for Amazon in the UK, he was responsible for training over 400 customer service agents. Of recent, he worked as a Site Trainer for a leading disability and aged care services provider, further showcasing his ability to develop and empower others.

Passionate about coaching, leadership and personal growth, Cameron founded Lead The Game Academy to share his wealth of experience and knowledge. His goal is to create an environment where every child - Regardless of athletic ability - Has the opportunity to build confidence, develop key skills and become the best version of themselves.

Mandy Smith Coach

Mandy’s love for basketball began at the age of five, and over the years, her passion for the game has only grown stronger. With an impressive 18 seasons of playing, primarily at the A-grade level, Mandy developed a deep understanding of the sport and honed her skills to compete at the highest levels.

Throughout her playing career, Mandy consistently excelled on the court, but her true calling emerged when she transitioned into coaching. She has successfully coached Under 16s and Under 18s basketball teams, leading them to finals every season she coached. One of her proudest achievements was guiding her Under 18 team to a Grand Final victory, an accomplishment that solidified her coaching credentials and deepened her passion for mentoring young athletes.

Now, as a Store Manager in her profession, Mandy channels her leadership skills into her coaching role, providing guidance and building growth in every player she mentors. She thrives in environments where she can encourage and inspire others, finding joy in seeing the excitement on kids' faces as they improve and develop both as athletes and individuals.

Mandy’s coaching philosophy is centred around hard work, teamwork and building a sense of achievement. She is committed to creating a positive environment where players can thrive, develop their skills and gain confidence on and off the court.

Jordy Glenn Coach

Jordan’s passion for basketball runs deep, having played since the age of five and competing in 20 consecutive domestic seasons. He progressed through representative basketball from Under-12s to Under-20s before playing four seasons of Youth League (BigV) at the highest level.

Currently in his third year of university, studying to become a PE teacher and coach, Jordan brings 11 years of representative coaching experience. He has led multiple teams to success, including guiding an Under-16 boys team to a third-place finish and coaching an Under-18 boys team to a championship.

His leadership and basketball knowledge continue to shine, with his Under-18 boys making the finals for the past three years. Now, he serves as the Head Coach for Ringwood’s 16/1s and oversees the entire age group.

Beyond coaching, Jordan has been an integral part of Ringwood’s Youth Men’s program - First as a team manager for two years and now in his second season as an assistant coach. Passionate about player development, mentorship and helping young athletes grow both on and off the court, Jordy is a valuable asset to Lead The Game Academy.
